I have had this same complaint in the past, but I'm confused because when I look at the link you provided, I see "Christmas Day" as the only thing listed on 12/25.

I personally have no "beef" with discussing/celebrating religious holidays in our public schools, so long as each religion is represented......or none are represented. ..... ....a couple of Islamic and Jewish holdays (religious) are listed on the district's online calendar. ..... and either NO mention of ANY religion should be made or ALL should be mentioned. I like that the school calender has major religious events on it. I agree with your options, warriormom, and I strongly prefer the choice to have all mentioned, the major ones. (cannot literally have all of course). I think the calender put up on your link does a good job with this. I like the fact that the school calender has it because public schools are a major way that my family becomes acquainted and makes friends with people of different faith backgrounds. I can see something on a school calender, and when I see other families I can wish them well during their special holiday season (which otherwise I may have been unaware that the time was occuring). Just a friendly thing to do. I say good for the schools to put this on calender. BTW, I see later in year Good Friday and Easter also listed. edit: listing these on the calender is far far different from discussing or celebrating any of these holidays in school.

I stand corrected.
I admit to not looking past December....I also did not notice "Christmas Day" listed on 12/25.
My bad. In light of the fact that Christmas, Easter, Good Friday etc. are listed I have no beef with the online calendar.
As Rosanna Rosanna Danna used to say, "nevermind"
