I heard about an offer by Macom as well, you know the one the district recieved 4 hours after they closed. Very generous of PL to make an offer the district was in no position to accept. Ahhhh.....that is what I thought as well. So I imagine that the official offer was not preceded by a verbal one with our anticipating receiving an official followup? Dead issue.....moving on. No, there was no verbal offer prior to this one submitted at 4:23pm on April 16, 4 hours after closing. You're right. Dead issue...next?

Man do I wish I could send you a list of names! Again, I would love if the district had an Open Forum. Have you spoken with parents of these minority children struggling? I think that there is alot that we all do not know in respect to views of parents at both NV and WV. I know parents of NV students that are unhappy with certain things as well. yeah - and some people will never be satisfied - sorry if you're not happy hear - once again you failed to answer my questions: Why did you move into stonebridge? What exposure have you had to WV and its staff? I have friends with children currently in WV (both Caucasian and Black). Some good stories and more not so good.....unfortuntaley the more positive came from the white families with the black families not being quite so pleased. As for Stonebridge, it is a nice neighborhood. And why did you select your neighborhood? Never mind, I don't really care. Totally irrelevant.

Awwww.....I appreciate that. Honestly. I think that there should be an in person meeting where the community shares views....bet many would not be spurting off at the lips like on these boards....not just this but all of them. Name the place and time...... would love to meet ya for coffee...Luv the Caribou......we could chat amicably....... I think that an effort like this should be coordinated in the area. People can get their thoughts/beliefs on the table. I am amazed that people like Eagledad, Doctorwho and Archwinsome are so displaced with our SB. I thought they were huge supporters of Metzger and others. I am convinced there is alot that we just don't know. Meeting my friend at 10 for quick workoutand am late.......let me know your thoughts on arranging something like this to begin healing this community because it is truly divided....and not North/South either. It is intertwined all over! Have a great night. Oh I do love Carribou....but I am a Starbucks girl. Grab one almost everyday on way to gym. Bad habit.

I don't know what could possibly need to be offered beyond what the school is already doing but if there are suggestions beyond what is already going on and beyond what is currently planned, I'm sure that such ideas would be welcomed. Our high schools have many more programs and opportunities than most, and these would benefit any student attending. I don't understand what skin color has to do with it. Although I do know that there is a specific ACT prep course offered for African American students and it was not taken advantage of by most of the students who were invited.

I moved to my current house because of 204 and knowing full well we'd feed into Waubonsie you seem so totally negative about WV - not sure why you moved here if WV is so bad, in your words

I moved to my current house because of 204 and knowing full well we'd feed into Waubonsie you seem so totally negative about WV - not sure why you moved here if WV is so bad, in your words It comes down to $$$$. For a home the same square footage as ours in Stillwater or TG we would have a much larger property tax bill. Given we won't be here for high school (which I thought I shared on this board or maybe it was the other one), no point in paying almost twice in taxes. After reading this site last night, I did briefly share my view on this situation with a woman that has NO children in the system (so no bias one way or the other) and her feeling is that this is a mess and obviously the SB is giving no consideration to us as taxpayers. How embarrrassing is it to have a FOR SALE sign going up because of Metzger/SB and their faith it would work out at BB? Not stating this for a debate (because there always is one) since the fact is that we bought land, did nothing with it, and now are stuck unloading it. As for totally negative.....all things have redeaming qualities. The good does not negate/dismiss the bad though. Off to volunteer at school. Have a great day all.
