I don't understand why this would be any more of a kick to MW/Hill than any of the other more than 50% of areas that are moving out of WV to MV. I really would not doubt that numbers might show that the average household income or assessed value for houses in NV attendance area are currently higher than WV attendance area - regardless of how that translates into booster club $$. I mentioned Hill because it is moving out in it's entirely - but it is no more a hit to them than anyone. The fact that this obviously was discussed as a benefit to the new boundaries was my point. Also fits the 'parity' topic here - but I know this didn't go into the boundary work OK, so you don't even view this as a dig at MW, you view this as a dig at all 6 ESs leaving WV. Based on how you quoted the guy, I can see why anyone that's leaving WV could be unhappy - AD's and Booster clubs seem to be pretty focused on their own school & not much else. On the flip side, I'm assuming that they wanted some areas that have been historically good HS supporters to feed into MV. And MW fits this. Again, it's the other way to look at it: it's not that your area is not worthy of being at WV, but rather, that it will be very valuable to MV.

Take that line of thought further and areas not going are deemed not as valuable to MV? I was there and heard the comment too and was just as put off by it.

I can definitely see your points as you were there and I wasn't. But regardless of what was said or how it was said, I definitely think that the MW area will definitely be valuable to MV.
Maybe the way he meant it was that money will definitely be lost in NV with the departure of the Scullen etc. crowd. With the LOSS of money from NV, maybe that will make it more level. The Watts/Scullen component could still be equal but with the NV loss, it might make it more level.
Just guessing. I know it's hard to read into what people say on these boards. Maybe the way he worded it was just poor as well and it came out wrong.

OK, so you don't even view this as a dig at MW, you view this as a dig at all 6 ESs leaving WV. Take that line of thought further and areas not going are deemed not as valuable to MV? I was there and heard the comment too and was just as put off by it. I didn't say that - and I did say that I could see that this guy didn't choose his words wisely, especially give the people in attendance. There are 2 sides to every "area X is valuable to school A": one can view that as a compliment to school X or a slam to areas Y and Z, that are not feeding into school. Bottom line: they're shooting for a decent amount of "balance" in all sorts of criteria. I see MW as being valuable to MV - this isn't a slam on the areas not coming to MV, just a compliment to MW. Nor do I think the guy with the bad choice of words meant a slam to the schools leaving WV. After all, more than 1/2 of the current WV is moving to MV - that's a lot of WV heritage leaving. edit: fixed all the wrong school abbreviations
