First, I was thinking this was as good of a HS football game as you could possible ask for. It ranks up there with as good of a game as I have ever seen. Both teams playing hard the entire way, and the game comes down to a heart-stopping finish. Either team could have easily come out on top. But one edged the other at the end...thats sports... but both teams should be proud of their efforts Wells questioned the call on the 2-point conversion as well as an offensive pass interference penalty that negated an apparent Yearian touchdown catch midway through the third quarter. "With the way they let them play everywhere else on the field," he said, "that was just ridiculous." I read these final comments from Coach Wells, and I have to wonder...what is he bad mouthing the officiating for? The offensive interference call--I had a good view of it. That was a good call. The officials got it right. The goal line stop of the two point conversion, I had no view of that at all. However, given that it was right in front of the NV student section ....when I did not hear I big roar from them, I thought "Its short of the goal line". Certainly Coach Wells had no view from the sidelines! Coach Wells, if you want to question anything....maybe you should question your play selection on the two point conversion? Or, Coach Wells, maybe you should talk about the good fight your team but up, and their understandible dissapointment? Or even, the resiliency of your opponent?

Maybe Coach Wells did say all those things. The press around here has a tendency to pick the most controversial quotes they can scribble down and forget all the other things said. It generates interest or something. Sounds like an exciting game. I am sorry I missed it.
