Homefront Hero Award
for Fry Elementary
======================
Fry Elementary School received a Homefront Hero Award from Lt. Governor Pat Quinn. The award is presented by the State to organizations that are making a special effort to help our service members, military families and veterans. Fry Elementary was recognized for its PTA's efforts to help students create more than 500 valentine bags filled with candy for children in Afghanistan and filling 15 large containers with supplies for troops stationed overseas. The items were hand-delivered by a US Navy Commander whose children attend Fry.

A mixed media piece created by Neuqua Valley student Chris Cha has been selected for this year's show.
