Benedictine University's board of trustees voted Thursday to freeze tuition at current levels through spring 2010 for traditional undergraduate students already attending the Lisle school. The board also guaranteed next year's freshman class will not see a tuition increase through spring 2011. Tuition increases at four-year public institutions across the country averaged 6.6 percent in 2007 and 6.3 percent at private four-year schools, officials said. Benedictine tuition for the 2008-2009 academic year is $10,800 per semester or $21,600 per school year.
