"Creating Independence through Student-Owned Strategies"
The Joys of Parenting Teens Seminar Series October 6
High school students are learning to apply CRISS strategies in all subject areas so they can learn more effectively. CRISS stands for Creating Independence through Student-Owned Strategies. Through CRISS, students are “thinking about their thinking” and are more engaged in their learning. By attending this seminar on October 6 at 7 pm at Waubonsie Valley High School (2590 Ogden Avenue, Aurora) parents will have the opportunity to learn more about these strategies and what they can do to reinforce them at home. Presenters are Laurel Chesla, reading specialist, and Gina Bogin, Ph.D., LCSW, CPA. This seminar is open to all District 204 parents.
