ALYSSA GIALAMAS
Waubonsie Student, Alyssa Gialamas, Swimming Paralympics, was one of 34 Athletes from the United States Qualified for London.

From the 34 athletes qualified, the U.S. Paralympics National Team selected only 32 athletes.

Viewing the list of athletes selected, it appears that an athlete needed to qualify in three events to be a team member, which is seems Alyssa missed. Still Waubonsie should be extrermely proud of their Paralympic QualifIer.
JAMES ZUPONECK
Today Waubonsie graduate James Zuponeck participated in the USA Swimming Olympic Trials. He finished 47 out of 111 of the best swimmers in the U.S. Jim still holds the 100 Breaststroke record and was an All American swimmer at Waubonsie. Jim just finished his Senior Year in College. Way to go Jim.
KEVIN CORDES
Neuqua Graduate and Illinois High School State Champion also participated in the 100 Breastroke at the USA Swimming Olympic Trials. In the morning he finished 5th place to move in to the semi finals this evening.

This evening in the semi finals he finished 6th to move in to the finals. The top 2 athletes in the finals will represent the US on London.

Kevin was a Freshman at Arizona this year when he won the 100 Breaststroke at the NCAA Championships (March) in an American Record time.
