There might be hope too.
I did not notice at 1st the fine print..... I think it states "A concerned south side signmaker and 204 resident".
Excellent!!!!

Kudos to whoever did that. That was a kind gesture on both parts......we get our land for a school and AME gets the money they needed in order to build a church since they did not have funds to do so until now (and that has yet to be determined until they secure land but atleast the large amount of money tax free is there to do with it as they please). Win-win to me.

What a wonderful gesture - almost brought a tear to my eye. Little things like this give me hope that everything will be ok.

A very nice gesture indeed!
However, there are some on the blue board that are questioning if this is really a "southsider" that put this up. Who cares? It's a nice gesture. In fact, I think there's some room there to sign our names in the white space. Or put a whole new blank sign up to sign our names. BYOS - Bring your own Sharpie!
Seriously, I wonder what, if anything, is being done to publicly thank this group? I know that they don't expect any thanks, but something should be done, IMO.

The banner added to the church sign was indeed produced and installed by a southside 204 resident. I can vouch for this because I am was the one that produced and installed the banner. Thank you all that commented on the sign. The banner had 3 purposes, 1) Let the folks in the church community know how many in this district felt, 2) Bring some unity to the district ,and 3) Let the board, adm. and school staff know that we are grateful for all their hard work. Please note that I belong to no one group and I only represent myself. I only hope that others who feel the same or more pride for our district will continue to show it to those that work so hard to teach our children. Sincerely JJ
