Thinking this would be a good topic for Improving the SD. Now that Dash is "Dashing".
How should the SD proceed? Do they promote from within? KB? or do a new nationwide search?
What if anything should we convey to the SB?

One prerequisite for me:
The candidate must not already be collecting a pension from another system, no matter how qualified he or she is.

Anybody remember how much Howie made? I know the new guy in 203 is making a salary of $203K.

I would think anyone applying for the job as super in D204 would demand hazardous-duty pay!

Well, considering the Sun article said that a "normal" person would give a year's notice before leaving and we got 5 weeks notice, I sure hope we don't rush into anything and hire someone just to hire someone. Ass't superintendents are there for a reason and I'm sure KB will do a good job until a decision is made. Hopefully, there's some good ones out there and we don't pick someone who is not a good fit for this district. Now that the drama of the new school and new board is over, this super can concentrate on the kids. I'm glad the new board will be involved in this. Hopefully, a board member will remember communication and will take some time to do a survey or something to ask us for community input.
