I have info from WVHS and MVHS about the new online lunch prepayment. I won't use this because I'd rather not pay extra fees on top of the lunch costs. However, I don't see any info about how else we can pay for lunches. Can the students bring cash to school to pay for that day's lunch? Do they need to deposit money into an account?
Previously my MS and HS students have paid for lunches with cash and I've sent checks in periodically to the ES for lunches.

I contacted the SD last week and I was told that we could send checks to school to avoid the credit card fee. After putting money on my kids' cards to start the school year I was shocked by the $6 credit card fee.
I don't plan on doing that all year long. I just did it this one time to make sure that the money was on the card in time for the first day of school. After that I will have them bring a check into the office.

That's good to know. I didn't think there was any other option with this new company.

$6 is a ridiculous fee to pay just to use a credit card. Credit card fees range from about 2-4%, so you'd have to put quite a bit on your credit card to reach that threshhold. I thought it was illegal to have a different charge for credit transactions? They probably call it something else, like an "on-line transaction fee" or something like that.
