COMMUNITY BRIEFING AURORA: Council annexes land for new high school Tribune staff report May 8, 2008 Plans for a third high school for Indian Prairie School District 204 can finally move forward. The Aurora City Council on Tuesday annexed the land where Metea Valley High School will sit. School officials said they can proceed with the plan for the school, which will sit on 84.1 acres on the east side of Eola Road in Aurora. Although failed land deals delayed planning, the new high school is scheduled to open in fall 2009. —Rhianna Wisniewski www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-wbriefs_081may08,0,1648782.story
