D204 students compete at SkillsUSA

Fifty-one applied technology students from Waubonsie Valley and Neuqua Valley high schools competed in the SkillsUSA state competition in April, according to a District 204 E-News release.
The hands-on competitions ranged from 4 to 8 hours in length, with projects being judged by industry professionals.
Peter Happ of Waubonsie qualified for the national competition next month in Kansas City. Waubonsie student Richard Romanowski won third place in the 2008 SkillsUSA National Peer Recruitment Video Contest sponsored by SkillsUSA and SchoolTube.
