Putting this in the area news-off topic section. as many of these girls from the Naperville / Aurora area. ( I know the squad includes a few girls from Hill )
Congratulations to the Benet Academy Girls Volleyball team which was on Fox TV, this AM, at 8:12 am and 8:17 am.
Just annnounced they are ranked #1 in the State and I understand @ Volleyball.com top 20 nationally going into the season.
AND, they are also being highlighted on the Volleyball.com website.
Also the 2007/08 team was just recognized with the AVCA Team Academic Award ( one of 6 girls teams in Illinois to earn this recognition )

The AVCA Team Academic Award honors volleyball teams at the high school and college level that are successful in the classroom. Nominees include high school or college teams that have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale) or 4.10 (on a 5.00 scale) during the full academic year (both semesters or all quarters), and include all varsity athletes who competed in volleyball with the institution for any portion of the academic year.
