There's another internet safety night for those that missed it in September... Internet Safety Presentation AnnouncedReported by janet_buglio@ipsd.org on 1/22/09 The Naperville Police Department’s Computer Crimes Unit, in conjunction with Indian Prairie School District 204 and Naperville School District 203, is hosting the community forum presentation, “Internet Safety for Parents” on Thursday, January 29 from 7 to 10 pm at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle Street. Computer Crimes Investigator Richard Wistocki will be the presenter at this session aimed at arming parents with information to assist in safeguarding their children on-line. Through this session parents and their children can learn to have positive on-line experiences. The event will include a vendor presentation and live software demonstration from a SpectorSoft representative, a leading manufacturer of software available to monitor what children are doing on-line. For more information, parents can also visit www.iparentpower.org, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping parents protect their children. The presentation is offered at no cost and is open to all adult residents. Due to the mature content of some of the material, it is not appropriate for children under 18 to attend. For further information, please contact Sgt Bill Davis at (630) 305-5951.
