Parent Group Invites Participants to Dialogue CirclesReported by golorri@comcast.net on 10/30/08 ipsdweb.ipsd.org/News.aspx?id=20675Indian Prairie School District 204's Parent Diversity Advisory Council (PDAC) is offering an opportunity for parents, teachers, and administrators to join a one-day Dialogue Circle on either November 15, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hill Middle School or November 22, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Gregory Middle School. The Dialogue Circle is an opportunity for 10 to 15 individuals to exchange ideas and expectations regarding the role families and schools each have in educating students. Questions explored include: As parents, are we preparing our children in a way that promotes learning? As educators, are we prepared to respond to the various needs of our students? As administrators, are we responsive to the student body concerns and expectations? Have we developed reasonable expectations? The focus is to ensure that all students receive the full benefit of District 204's curriculum and activities. PDAC hopes the Dialogue Circles truly reflect the racial, ethnic and cultural make-up of the school district in order to have lively and productive discussions. Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Registration materials are online at www.ipsd.org/pdac.asp. For more information contact Lori Scott, Dialogue Circle Chair, 630-378-0953 or golorri@comcast.net.
