Valley Briefs: General Assembly scholarship applications begin

State Rep. Darlene Senger is accepting applications for the Illinois General Assembly Scholarship. Applicants must be a full time student enrolled at a state university and live in the 96th District, which includes parts of Aurora.
The scholarship covers one year of tuition (not including room and board or fees) at state universities.
Request an application at patdistrict96@gmail.com or pick one up at the district office, 125 Water St., Naperville. Submit the completed application by April 26 and include three letters of recommendation, high school and college transcripts and a brief essay on the topics listed in the application.
