A 41-year-old Plainfield school bus driver was ordered held without bond Wednesday after he was arrested for distribution of child pornography, the FBI announced Thursday.
Mario Meschino is currently being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center Thursday after he was formally charged with one count of distribution of child pornography, according to an FBI release.
Meschino, of 24950 Madison in Plainfield, was arrested Wednesday at his home by agents of the Chicago FBI's Innocent Images Task Force (IITF) after he was identified as a possible distributor of child pornography.
On Wednesday, federal agents with the IITF searched Meschino's residence and found numerous CD's containing suspected images of minor children engaged in sexually explicit activity.
Several e-mail accounts used by Meschino, which also were determined to have been used to send pornographic images of minor children, the release said.
Meschino works for the First Student Transportation Company as a school bus driver.
If convicted, Meschino faces a maximum of 20 years.

First Student is on a roll.
Silver lining: Maybe FS will be in a weaker negotiating position come contract time. At the very least we need to demand stronger background and/or psychological testing. I know most drivers are normal, but it does appear that the job attracts people who have unhealthy attitudes regarding children.
