Gifts for military personnel:
Aurora again will send gifts to residents in active military service who are stationed in the U.S. or overseas. Service personnel will receive a one-pound box of mixed nuts provided by the Kiwanis Club of Aurora and a card in time for the holidays. Names and mailing addresses of residents in active military service may be given to the Mayor's Office of Special Events at (630) 844-4731 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays or e-mailed to syoung@aurora-il.org. The deadline is Nov. 13.

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card that was hand made by a child and Xerox will print the card and send it to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services. It is FREE and it only takes a minute. It's a wonderful way to say thanks and we careā¦.. especially as Thanksgiving draws closer
