Fall Recycling Day
Where: Three different locations, one in each of three city of Aurora Wards:
„X 8th Ward ¡V Fischer Middle School, West parking lot, 1305 Long Grove Drive at Eola Road
o Electronics Recycling and Shred Events
„X 9th Ward ¡V directly east of 2240 S. Eola Road in public roadway
o Shred event on this site
o Electronics Recycling will be held at Fischer Middle School
„X 10th Ward ¡V Metea Valley High School, North parking lot, 1801 N. Eola Road
o Electronics Recycling and Shred Events
Date & Time: Saturday, November 14 from 8 AM to 10:45 AM.
(All cars must be in the line and in the lot by that time)
Sponsored By: The 8th, 9th & 10th Wards of the City of Aurora for the benefit of their respective residents. Bring a photo ID since you may be asked to prove residency.
Electronics Recycling
During the event hours, drop off electronics that are listed below. All equipment (including CPU towers) is delivered to Sims Recycling Solutions in West Chicago, for destruction only. Nothing is resold or reused. To give more residents an opportunity to take part, there is a limit of one large TV per vehicle and the organizers reserve the right to limit the amount you may recycle at this event. Items accepted for recycling are:
„X Computers and Peripherals:
CPU¡¦s, laptops, monitors, flat panels, keyboards, mice, cable, printers, plotters, external hard drives, tape drives, network hardware (i.e.: servers, routers, hubs), communication hardware (i.e.: modems), and subassemblies of any of the above. The recycler will not resell or reuse any computer parts ¡V all computers will be dismantled and recycled for their base materials.
„X Data Center Equipment:
Power distribution units (PDU¡¦s), uninterrupted power supplies (UPS Systems), motor generator sets (MG sets), chillers.
„X Office and Telecommunications Equipment:
Copiers, fax machines, phone systems, cell phones, hand-held devices, projection equipment.
Shred Event
A separate shredding truck will be on site at each location to shred your personal papers and records. A limit of five ¡¥banker¡¦s boxes¡¦ or the equivalent will be accepted from any one vehicle. The organizers reserve the right to limit or decline to accept any material as when the trucks are full, this event will end.
After the event is over, please do not leave material at any unattended site. Each site does have surveillance equipment in use and those leaving anything before or after the event can be identified.
