Today, I got an email from the Girl Scouts stating that the $10/hr. facility fee would be in effect for next year for scout troops/packs. However, at a meeting last week Dr. Daeschner said it was still under review and that something could probably be worked out with the scouts. I just heard from Dr. Daeschner and Jay Strang and the scouts will NOT be charged the hourly rate. Instead there will be a flat $20 fee which will include 18 meetings per year. Jay is contacting Marty Ewing from the girl scouts to clarify.

This is great news Lori! Thanks for sharing it. I have kids in scouting that meet at both homes and at school, and I greatly prefer the school meetings. I was upset that the cost may have made the school meetings a thing of the past. Good to hear that the concerns were heard and a reasonable solution was found.

At least you appreciate it. It seems someone on the blue board is still choosing to be critical.

BTW, I confirmed that this flat rate includes the Cub/Boy Scout packs as well.

BTW, I confirmed that this flat rate includes the Cub/Boy Scout packs as well. I figured as much. This is good news. Even though some don't want to believe it, the School District actually does try to do the right thing most times.
