~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ State Gives District Highest Financial Rating ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
District 204 has once again achieved the designation of "Financial Recognition" from the Illinois State Board of Education. This is the highest rating of financial strength a school district can achieve.
The Illinois State Board of Education annually reviews the finances of each school district in the state and then releases its Financial Profile rating for each district. The state's goal is to objectively assess the financial health of all districts. This is the third year that District 204 has achieved the highest financial rating.
Apparently, ISBE thinks the district is financially responsible. I guess the SB really IS "to blame!"
Actually, the way they looked over the numbers at last night's meeting, I'd say they are really interested in where our money is spent and what it's spent on. They were holding people accountable last night and things were tabled because they wanted more information.
Anyway, kudos to D204 for this recognition.
So I guess that detailed expense project sheet for MV is just around the corner then - good. They ( and us) should be holding the contractors responsible - it's our money. No different than it's not a bad thing when some want to see exactly what we've spent on the current project. No difference. ( and the projectopn for future transportation costs)
