Since only 1 of the "jerks" that voted on the new high school is up for re-election, I don't think you will get your wish. As to the tax increase, the same rate is applied to all, so I don't see how this is possible especially since our home values in the North are only going to plummet because our kids will be going to school in a toxic dump that will blow up on the 1st day of school when a train derails.

What I fear is that, with so many candidates, we may not be able to get to know ENOUGH about the non-incumbants

I see Macy is back on the blue board. I knew she couldn't keep away; not with the SB elections coming up. I just love those people. LOL

[What I fear is that, with so many candidates, we may not be able to get to know ENOUGH about the non-incumbants That is a concern but I will just have to vote what I know. I know that there are areas that have made lots of noise about "stuff". I don't agree with much of what they have said and their actions, so I will vote against candidates from those areas.

I really believe people will be voting against any more change. We don't need any more boundary changes. What a joke that would be. I don't think people will be looking at platforms. Those who will take the time to vote will be looking at addresses.

Because of their anger and bitterness it is impossible to reason with them. That is why I am here.

I'm sorry but anyone with an "axe to grind" will not get my vote unless they have something else to offer. I want someone who's positive and upbeat, someone who embraces the good things this district has to offer, but not one who runs lock step with the pack. I am not enamored with the current SB, and would sincerely like to see some new faces with fresh ideas.
I want someone who has in their best interests the district, AS A WHOLE. I will not vote for a one issue candidate (no matter what that issue is). A one issue candidiate will not be an asset to the district if he/she gets into office as he/she will have nothing else to offer.

Problem is, how do you know someone has an axe to grind or not? I doubt they are going to admit the only reason they are running for SB is this reason or that reason. I really believe people are going to be looking more at where candidates are from rather than listening to what they have to say.
