In the From field, it states <Address deleted>;. This is not the board's email address as they have their own ipsd.org address. On the IPSD website, the address to send an email to the board is board-members@ipsd.org. This goes to all board members. If they respond, it comes back as "soandso_soandso@ipsd.org". There is no group email that comes back. Everyone handles their own individual responses in my experiences and an individual's name is listed, not <address deleted>. This is bogus, IMO. where do you see this? The one posted on blue - -----Original Message----- From: Metzger, Mark <mark_metzger@ipsd.org> To: Tyle, Alka <alka_tyle@ipsd.org>; Bradshaw, Curt <curt_bradshaw@ipsd.org>; Stephens, John <john_stephens@ipsd.org>; Clark, Jeannette <jeannette_clark@ipsd.org>; Piehl, Cathy <cathy_piehl@ipsd.org>; Daeschner, Stephen <stephen_daeschner@ipsd.org> Cc: rhmchurch@comcast.net <rhmchurch@comcast.net> Sent: Fri, 27 Feb 2009 8:05 am Subject: RE: PRESS RELEASE
I think it's about time for me to issue a response and blow up the lies this mother f**k*r continues to tell.

So......did Dr D just say something to the newspaper about viscousness in the community? He sure did. This district is still as great as ever but a small group bitter over the new school really gets deep in the gutter to get what they want. There are some really rotten apples in this bunch.

Now that this has been verified... a couple things to note. The d204 e-mail address in the post was obviously the one that went back to the victim's parents. The original "press release" e-mail did not include CV so obviously a "reply all" would not either. I wonder why they copied Robin Church but not Christine Vickers in their original mail.
I think my shock last night has turned to numbness and exhaustion this morning.
Since M2 believed his e-mail's audience to be people who knew the SB/admin side of this story and used this kind of language, obviously there is a big disconnect between the side of the story we have heard and the side of the story we cannot hear. It would help us understand this level of frustration if we could have the other side of the story.
Yet this does not excuse the mail having been written and sent.

Yes Confirmed that M2 sent this email.
Regardless who the audience is...he should have known better.

Maybe he wasn't referring to the father when he said - "I think it's about time for me to issue a response and blow up the lies this (expletive) continues to tell," Maybe he was actually referring to the superintendent?

It is quite clear what he meant and totally inappropriate. I cannot nor will I defend what he wrote. The only question I have is, what frustration drove him to write it?

A belated welcome cocrt21..... Sorry to have doubted you at 1st. But it did seem very incredible at the outset. Personally I don't care who was referring to...That language is uncalled for period, excaserbating the "offense" is that he did it using SD email. (Violation of open meetings act?) FWIW I highy doubt he was referring to Dr. Dash.....

I'm pretty sure the newspaper article and last night's news report would have been quite different had that been the case.

I had a parent state that they too wondered why the victim would be at the home of the assailant in the first place. Again, irrelevant. People are accountable for their actions. Perhaps M2 needs to take a course on self-control. Or maybe he needs to cut back on the boxed wine. We have reached a new low in the district.

I never said he was not accountable and agree, it is totally inappropriate. I just wondered what caused the frustration to spout something so vile. I am sure that question will never be answered.

I read from your posts that you were not supporting M2s bad action. I was just stating that the reason does not matter and know that we will never truly know the story behind what is motivating the SB to turn the other cheek as it relates to this heinous incident.

I'm not the OP here, but I'd like to respond to this. However inappropriate MM's email was, I don't think one can deny there is viciousness within this community. And the events over this past year (storming out of board meetings, lawsuits, etc. ) are a testiment to that. Major's statement, as I read it, spoke to that aspect alone. Not to MM's email. I think everyone's sentiment to finding out the email was real, including many on the other board, was a collective "WOW".
