I'm confused Arch says CV is rescinding 1/22 vote since no due diligence. ETA: I don't think they've voted yet. I think 3Woodgal was predicting. apparently CV will do anything to stop a 3rd hs They've voted and it's a go.

Parent/Warrior - do you think they voted? I can't tell for sure, but I don't think so.

This is awesome news. How can anyone complain at that price? This would be $18.9M now vs. $16.5M for the orginal Eola Rd plan. But, let's not assume this will be easy. Nothing has from Day 1 after the ref passed. And CV seems to be back to her old form. ETA: still waiting on confirmation of a vote

Sounds like they are talking about the size of it...maybe won't be so big??? interesting - when the high BB price came out, we talked about a smaller MV to make it more feasible. To me, if you build for 2500 with the ability to add-on planned in advance (unlike NV and WV, which don't have easy options to add on to), then you can perhaps save some $ now, but have options down the road. It would depend on how much they could save. Also, cutting back on the facilities is a possibility, too, I suppose

Doc's recommended a school for 1000 since only brooks and brookdale want to attend. Just think of all the opportunities for my kids!!

No mention of facilities, acc. to arch who is there. But that would be a nice option if they find enrollment does increase like originally projected.

Great news! So what would be a realistic expectation on closing date? Is there still a chance for 2009? Not sure how long these things take or what other hurdles there are to cross.

Just got home from the meeting tonight. Good news for the land approval. Unfortunately, there are some really pissed off parents, and I think there is going to be a whole new batch of people ready to support NSFOC.

The big bombshell dropped by CV was that there was no appraisal done on the AME land. Claims that and the numbers are why she can't support it.

We are getting 84.1 acres. Some of the NFUD faction STORMED out, hitting the wall the door was opened with such force. Very immature. I have been struggling all weekend with BB vs Eola because of lawsuits; thinking this was a new opportunity. After the meeting, I feel the right decision was made. Two separate law firms were consulted and both said no precedent. The NFUD faction laughed and made snide remarks during many of the statements made by the board and even during the speakers time.
They are still going to try for 2009. CV was near tears, really, when she withdrew her vote with her erroneous enrollment figures. JC's voice was cracking when she refuted CV's figures. Of course, there was a loud applause for CV.
I understand people are emotional but this behavior was unacceptable from some in the audience.
ETA: I apologize, of course it was members of NSFOC - many of whom spoke earlier in the evening. My remarks do nothing to heal and I do apologize.
