Give me a break. I just read through her post twice to make sure I wasn't missing anything. She didn't mention TG!!! All she did was report what she witnessed at the meeting, and I thank her for reporting the details. "We are getting 84.1 acres. 1/2 the TG faction STORMED out, hitting the wall the door was opened with such force. Very immature" I guess you missed this part of her post. How do you know some were not from WE, Watts, Cowl, ect. Just because they had stickers or whatever on there shirts does not mean they are from one subdivision. I want this name calling to STOP. I think she edited the post - - didn't see it. (Now I understand your post).

I believe she edited it before I saw it. They had stickers and they were rude and as for where they're from, I believe a few have at some point identified themselves as being from TG but we certainly don't know for sure where the people they were sitting with live. There were quite a lot of people storming out rather rudely at a few points during the SB's discussion and I understand they were angry but I don't understand the need to yell things out on the way by, mutter angry statements, slam doors, throw things loudly into the garbage by the door, and just make a generally unpleasant environment for those of us who wanted to hear what was being said by the SB. I can understand their disappointment and frustration. Many of them feel, true or not, like this was a done deal from long before the meeting. It's very difficult when you do not feel you have any control over the things happening around you. I am not condoning the behavior, just appreciating the emotions behind it.

Apology accepted. I too find that behavior acceptable, but I understand it. It is an emotional issue and it involves kids.

It's very difficult when you do not feel you have any control over the things happening around you. I am not condoning the behavior, just appreciating the emotions behind it. I totally understand their point as it is frustrating to not be heard. But if they want to be heard, it's my humble opinion that they need to move to a smaller district. If the board stopped everything each time someone wanted them to slow down, we would never get things done, and that is why Dash plows ahead. He wants to get things done, whether you agree with him or not. IMO it's easier to listen to a small group of people about a small matter (ie: Dist. 203 with the Mill St. school parents) but when you are making a big decision that affects tens of thousands of students and parents where not everyone will be happy, sometimes you have to forge ahead. We didn't really hear any new concerns last night, did we? Wasn't it the same environmental, lawsuit stuff? I wish the administration was a little more empathetic to these people as they continue to fan the flames of division. But I understand their need to move on. The problem is that this district has a lot of people with a lot of money and nothing better to do than put road blocks up for our kids' education because the current path doesn't suit their own personal agenda.

scar, You are confusing me. In front of you were the white shirts, and also the 8-10 stormers? I will agree a sat among a group of TG people during the boundary mtg (that's where the power was for my laptop). They were also very respectful during the whole proceedings. In fact they seemed almost embarrassed by some of their fanatic neighbors. The white shirts were in front of me across the aisle. The people who went out were sitting in back toward the corner and had to walk past to leave.

I don't know whether it was because they had fewer chairs set up... However, it made the room and seating area seem larger.

Actually, if you read the blue board several posters identified themselves as the ones who stormed out (or left early).

After the initial group stormed out, sorry there are just no other words for it, others filtered out quietly throughout the rest of the meeting.

Ever watch this in fast forward? It's hilarious! Yes. But how do I get it to stop. I had to sit through the Alvin movie already. I can't take it twice.
