Just catching up, as Comcast issues prevented me from accessing the www the past few days - with 584 "signatures" this observation is definitely still holding true, very much so WRONG! I just looked and saw a few myself. Don't want to call them out but take a look. I see some personal friends of mine. When I made this comment, there were only 366 signatures. There are no signatures from 1-366 from these schools. There are some now, but they are HUGELY out numbered.

That is again fostering the North South notion that needs to be no longer.

There ARE more signatures from the South end of the district than the North...or Central, West or East, for that matter. Would you not agree with that? A simple glance will verify it but if you wish to count every signature and tally them up, go for it. The end result will be the same.

I was responding to Arwen that stated there was not one signature from families of certain schools. If I did not highlight the right quote I apologize.

1. The email where MM called a parent advocating for his sexually abused child a mother*#+@#* was intended to be "private".
This is crazy. The email was sent by MM to fellow Board members through the IPSD email system in his professional capacity as president of the Board. How is this a private email!
2. But for the expletive language, the email would not be a big deal.
But for the whole gunshot thing, President Lincoln would have loved the play!
3. We need MM's experience so regardless of this henious act, we can not afford to have him go.
Our moral compass can not be based on years of experience. In fact, the pattern MM has shown is what makes this so horrible.
4. This is another NSFOC conspiracy.
Right out of the, when all else fails, divide the community to advance the agenda of the Board and administration.
eta: courtesy of blue board. great points.

Immediately remove him or her from the school and in this case with pictures being circulated, move. Move? In this econony? You cannot be serious. So in addition to spending time in family counseling they should also quit their job and also take on a second mortgate (houses aren't selling overnight)? Amazing! I find it utterly ridiculous the length some on this green board go to in an effort to support MMs bad behavior. Let's place this all on the victim's family to resolve. Insanity! You expect a kid who was abused to also leave his friends and support group? Amazing. Stop defending MM; he doesn't deserve your loyalty! We all deserve better !

I never said what the family of that child should do. I responded to a question about what would I do.

The end result will be the same. perhaps the reason why there are more signatures from the south is because that is where the incident occurred and more people in this area know the family or know of them. I am certain that anyone with logic and a heart and common sense will sign the petition once they hear the details and of how MM treated the very people he is to serve . Whether he intended the email to go out publically or not is competely irrelevant. The fact that he felt such contempt for a family in crisis who he is supposed to serve is beyond my comprehension.

Are they in response to something posted on blue? If there are a comment on a green post, maybe that poster should join us here and join the discussion here. Not encouraging cross board arguments, much is lost and many who chose to post on one board or the other are not in a position of defending their comments.

It amazes me as time goes on how people seem to have less and less compassion for this child yet maintain to excuse MMs actions. Must be something in it for them to be totally illogical about this.

You forgot to mention the lone voter who resides in 203 that signed the petition.

If I see anymore group think I will be physically ill. M2 drives the current board to his will/direction How can almost all the votes be 7-0, 7-0, on key important issues? We all did see a 6-1 vote and I about fell off my chair. Then after that vote; the one lone dissenter was isolated by m2/Dr.D and excluded from emails and information. Top notch leadership!! Is this the leadership and experience we want on the next school board? Not in my book. M2 HAS GOT TO GO for the new board to have a chance to be successful. The ill advised email he sent is the straw that broke the camels back. I agree it is not desireable to have an appointee for 2 years that was not voted in, but given the alternative (M2 stays). I will galdly take an appointee from the new board in APril.
